I've sang these swan lyrics more times than I'd like to remember.
The difference now is I calmly and patiently wait for the internal hissy fit to subside and recognize and honor that part of me who, at my core, is just trying to protect me against uncertainty and certain death. And she can push the panic button, for real! ๐จ
The anxiety, adaptations, and habits that we make a federal case out of, that keep us safe, small, and in our "place" are mere distractions to a path of freedom and becoming.
Expansion is necessary. But the process is messy, painful, and uncomfortable. Expansion defines what it means to be fully human; a necessity that bridges the gap between where you are and the life you want to live.
And there is an upside:
๐ฅ Reinvention and rebirth that only humans can experience.
๐Agility, resilience, self understanding, and purpose.
๐ฅ Mastery of self.
I recognize the level of crankiness I'm currently experiencing for what it is โ a time of major growth, rebirth, and expansion. And I'm excited to see what comes of it!

Weโre finding that our families are challenged now more than ever with math education and the results are grim.
Usually, we're all purple hearts and plus signs about things. (And we still are...)
But this is a serious matter.
CBS News recently turned their national spotlight on a dire issue that we've been confronting on the frontlines of MATH education.
Their report reads: 'It could take years for kids to recover from pandemic learning gap, research shows'
Usually, the news hits heavy with the shock factor, but it's not an exaggeration this time.
Classrooms across the country are disrupted by significant learning and achievement loss as a result of the pandemic.
๐ณ Our kids are literally FIVE years behind.
Let's break that down:
Say you have a 7th grade student...
High school is approaching, and everybody's sights are on her future...
She's survived two years of pandemic learning...
โAnd finally back in the classroom full-time.
๐ But she's staring down her schoolwork with a 2nd grade skill set.
What used to be cracks in their MATH education are now full-out GAPS.
What we won't do is watch from the sidelines as our kids get swallowed up.
